Kathy Eldon’s “Creative Visions Foundation”, “In the Heart of Life” on AOTA
Authors on the Air host Pam Stack is honored to welcome filmmaker, author and social activist Kathy Eldon.
Kathy lost her son Dan, a photojournalist when an angry mob of Somalis stoned him to death. After that life changing event, Kathy wrote a memoir of her journey from grieving mother to internationally known activist, using Dan’s journals and photos to write “In the Heart of Life” and to form the “Creative Visions Foundation”. She has worked with journalists and celebrities to create documentaries that have captured her son’s spirit and given birth to awareness by artist, playwrights and filmmakers to shine a light on social justice worldwide.
